Cort has been serving families, small businesses, and professionals since 1993, helping them set and achieve their financial goals with care and dedication. He specializes in retirement planning, investment management, college funding strategies, and insurance solutions, including life, disability, and long-term care. A patient listener and caring professional, Cort is passionate about building trust and fostering meaningful, multi-generational relationships.

He joined Heritage in 2014 after holding leadership roles as a financial advisor and Managing Director with Principal Financial and New England Financial. Cort holds a bachelor’s degree from Centre College of Kentucky, along with the Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®), Chartered Leadership Fellow® (CLF®), and Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) designations. He is Life and Health licensed, and maintains the FINRA Series 7, 24, and 63 registrations through Private Client Services. Throughout his career, Cort has been recognized as a leader in his profession, serving as the president of NAIFA–Columbus, Ohio. In 2017, Cort was recognized and honored with a NAIFA Lifetime Achievement Award.

Deeply involved in his community, Cort serves with the Worthington AM Rotary and attends Lifepoint Church in Worthington. During his time at Centre College, he was President of Beta Theta Pi fraternity and a member of the tennis team. Today, Cort lives in Worthington Hills with his wife, Karen. They are proud parents of two sons—Tim, an advisor in Cort’s office, and Rob, an engineer at AEP—and they enjoy traveling together, playing tennis, and spending time with their grandson, Thomas.
